The winery is located in the municipality of Reith near Langenlois in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region of Kamptal. The winery was founded in 1880 and is run by Wolfgang and Sylvia Groll. The vineyards cover 9.5 hectares of vines in the Fahnberg, Hiesberg, Hoheneck, Kogelberg, Reitberg and Seeberg vineyards. They are planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Chardonnay, Riesling and Gelber Muskateller, as well as the red wine variety Zweigelt. The vineyards are cultivated using pesticides that are friendly to beneficial organisms. The wines are produced with gentle pressing and temperature-controlled, cooled fermentation in stainless steel. The red wines are matured in barriques. The premium wines include several Rieslings and Grüner Veltliner Kamptal DAC and Kamptal DAC Reserve from various vineyards.
