Producer description of "Weingut Heinrich Groh"

The winery is located in the municipality of Bechtheim (Wonnegau area) in the German wine-growing region of . It was founded in 1899 by Heinrich Groh and is now run by the fourth generation of the family, Axel Groh. The vineyards cover 12 hectares of vines in the single vineyard sites , Heiligkreuz, Rosengarten and Stein (Bechtheim), as well as and Römerberg (Alsheim). They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling, Müller-Thurgau, Silvaner, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Kerner, Huxelrebe and Sauvignon Blanc, as well as with the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, Regent, Portugieser, Dornfelder, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Dunkelfelder.
