The white grape variety originates from Austria. Synonyms are Eisbröckler, Fleugler Schnöd, Geschmalzene, Grüner Kracher, Grüner Ohainer, Hrufel, Hrustec, Hrustez, Hruzel, Javorovters, Kirhlihkovez, Krhliklovec, Kleiner Kracher, Lichtlabler, Maslovna, Masnec, Masnek, Muhavec, Muskeln, Schmalztraube, Sivisa and Verbika. The parentage (parentage) is unknown. It is an all-female grape variety. It is described in the "Ampelographisches Wörterbuch" of Hermann Goethe (1837-1911) as a wine grape. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
