The white grape variety originates from Italy. Synonyms are Grapariol Barbaran, Grappariol, Rabosa Bianca, Rabosina Bianca and Rabosino Grappariol. According to DNA analyses carried out in 2009, there is no genetic link to the two varieties Raboso Piave or Raboso Veronese. The medium to late ripening vine produces floral white wines with aromas of peach and celery. The almost extinct variety was revived by the viticultural institute in Conegliano. It is grown in the province of Treviso in the Veneto region. In 2016, two hectares of vines were designated (Kym Anderson).
