The winery "Azienda Agricola Graci" is located near Castiglione di Sicilia and Passopiscirao in the province of Catania in Sicily. It was founded in 2004 by Alberto Aiello Graci. The landmark is a dog. The purebred species called "Cirneco dell'Etna", which has been present here for thousands of years, is supposed to symbolize the genuine terroir. The vineyards cover 20 hectares and are situated between 600 and 1,100 metres above sea level on the northern slopes of the Etna. They are mainly planted with the autochthonous varieties Catarratto, Carricante, Nerello Cappucchio and Nerello Mascalese. The philosophy is to produce autochthonous wines that reflect the terroir of Etna. Interventions both in the vineyard and in the cellar are kept to a minimum, in keeping with the motto "The earth and the land set the tone, not us". The wines are aged in stainless steel tanks or in large oak barrels. The product range includes, for example, the DOC wine Etna and various IGT wines.
