Graben (single vineyard Germany)

single vineyard in the municipality of Bernkastel-Kues (Bernkastel area) in the German Moselle wine-growing region. The south to southwest facing vineyards at 125 to 225 metres above sea level with a 60% slope cover 12 hectares of vineyards. On the stony, medium-textured Devonian slate weathered soils with some clay, the majority of the Riesling is grown in unimproved form in the single-pile system. The best plots are comparable to the famous neighbouring Doctor site. Shares are held, for example, by the vineyards of Dr. Pauly-Bergweiler, Geheimrat J. Wegeler Erben, Molitor, S. A. Prüm, Studert-Prüm and Wwe. Dr. H. Thanisch Erben Müller-Burggraef.
