Goose wine

Colloquial term for a traditional refreshing summer drink made from sugar water mixed with a little vinegar. Locally different, however, Gänsewein was/is also the name for simple water. However, this should not be confused with "Ganslwein", a common name in Austria for the wine type Staubiger. See also a complete list of wine names/types under Special W ines.
