Golden Ansgar

The winery is located in the community of Kirchheim a. d. Weinstraße (area Mittelhaardt-Deutsche Weinstraße) in the German wine-growing region Palatinate. Since 2009 the winery is managed by Katja and Ansgar Galler. The vineyards comprise eleven hectares of vineyards in the individual locations Geißkopf, Kreuz, Römerstraße and Steinacker (Kirchheim). They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling,Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Gelber Muskateller, Auxerrois and Sauvignon Blanc, as well as the red wine varietiesPinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Dornfelder. Since 2012, the PIWI varieties Cabernet Blanc, Muscaris, Pinotin, Johanniter, Sauvignac and Satin Noir have also been cultivated. Since 2015, the cultivation has been converted to organic (ecological) viticulture.
