Goecseji Zamatos

The white grape variety is an interspecific new variety between Eger 1 x Medoc Noir(Chasselas x Ingram's Muscat). Synonyms are Cocseji, Egri Csillagok 34, Gocseji Zamatos and Savourex de Gocsej. Genes of Vitis berlandieri, Vitis labrusca, Vitis lincecumii, Vitis rupestris and Vitis vinifera are included. The hybrid was crossed in Hungary in 1957 by József Csizmazia and Laszlo Bereznai. It is used as a wine press and table grape. In 2010, a stock of 40 hectares was declared in Russia.
