Goebel Martin

The winery is located in the heart of Randersacker (Maindreieck area) in the German wine growing region of Franconia. The traditional family has been growing wine for over 400 years. Today the business is run by Hubert Göbel and son Martin. The vineyards comprise 8.5 hectares of vineyards in the individual locations Marsberg, Pfülben, Sonnenstuhl and Teufelskeller (all Randersacker). They are planted with the white wine varieties Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau, Riesling, Traminer, White Burgundy, Pinot Gris, Rieslaner, Albalonga and Scheurebe, as well as the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, Early Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Dorio, Cabernet Dorsa and Domina. Quality criteria are yield-reducing measures such as short pruning and thinning out of the grapes, as well as targeted, selective manual harvesting. During vinification, special emphasis is placed on varietal typicity. The white wines mature mainly in stainless steel, the red wines in large wooden barrels and in barriques. The wines are predominantly dry Franconian, only a tenth of them are sweet. A speciality are the noble sweet dessert wines like Trockenbeerenauslese and Eiswein. The product range also includes Franconian fine brandies from our own distillery.
