The winery is located in the municipality of Hauskirchen in the north-east of the Lower Austrian wine-growing region of Weinviertel. The traditional family has been involved in viticulture for five generations, and today the estate is run by Roman and Maria Girsch. The vineyards cover eleven hectares in the Reinberg and Steinfeld vineyards. They are planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling and Chardonnay, as well as with the red wine varieties Zweigelt, Blauburger, Blauer Portugieser and Cabernet Sauvignon. The vineyards are cultivated in a near-natural way with integrated plant protection, for example by using predatory mites and year-round cover crop grass mulch. Through targeted vineyard work such as short pruning, defoliation of the grape zone and voluntary yield restriction by thinning out the grapes, the aim is to achieve optimum grape quality. In the over 200-year-old wine cellar, formerly owned by Prince Liechtenstein, fruity and vintage-typical wines are produced after gentle pressing. As a speciality, cold-pressed grape seed oils and gift bottles with exclusive packaging, hand-labelled and hand-painted, are offered.
