DOC area for red wines, rosé wines and white wines in the Italian region of Puglia The zone includes the municipalities of Acquaviva delle Fonti, Adelfia, Altamura, Casamassima, Cassano delle Murge, Castellana Grotte, Conversano, Gioia del Colle, Grumo Appula, Noci, Putignano, Rutigliano, Sammichele di Bari, Sannicandro di Bari, Santeramo in Colle and Turi in the province of Bari. Bianco is produced from Trebbiano Toscano (50-70%), as well as other authorised varieties (30-50%). The Rosso and Rosato types of wine are blended from Primitivo = Tribidrag (50-60%), Montepulciano and/or Negroamaro and/or Sangiovese (max. 40-50%), and Malvasia Nera = Malvasia Nera di Brindisi (max. 10%). The red wine Aleatico Dolce (also as Riserva and Liquoroso) is made from Aleatico (85%), as well as the varieties Nagroamaro, Malvasia Nera and Primitivo (max. 15%). The red wine Primitivo (also as Riserva) is produced from 100% of this variety.
