The winery is located in the municipality of Klöch in the Austrian wine-growing region of Vulkanland Steiermark. The traditional winery is run by Josef and Margrit Nell, both graduates of the winegrowing school Silberberg. There is also a guest house and a wine tavern.

Vineyards & grape varieties

The vineyards cover six hectares of vines in the Deutsch-Haseldorf, Hochwarth and Klöcherberg vineyards. They are planted with the white wine varieties Roter Traminer, Gelber Traminer, Gewürztraminer (covering 45% of the total area), Sauvignon Blanc, Welschriesling, Riesling, Gelber Muskateller, Weißburgunder, Morillon, Scheurebe and Müller-Thurgau, as well as the red wine variety Zweigelt. The grapes are harvested selectively by hand.
