The white grape variety is a new cross between Pozsonyi Fehér x Szürkebarát (Pinot Gris). Synonyms or breeding numbers are K.38 and Kecskemet 38. The cross was made in Hungary in 1965 by the breeder Edit Hajdu. It is grown in small quantities in the Kunság and Mátra areas. In 2016, 0.3 hectares of vineyard were designated (Kym Anderson).
