The winery is located in the municipality of Monzernheim (Wonnegau area) in the German wine-growing region of Rheinhessen. It is run by Helmut (vineyard management) and Andreas Geil (vinification and marketing). The vineyards cover nine hectares of vines in the single vineyard sites Goldberg (Monzernheim), Hasensprung (Bechtheim), as well as Aulerde, Kirchspiel and Steingrube (Westhofen). They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Müller-Thurgau, Scheurebe, Bacchus, Huxelrebe and Albalonga, and with the red wine varieties Dornfelder, Portugieser, Pinot Noir and St. Laurent. The individual varieties were planted according to the different microclimate conditions of the sites. The vineyards are cultivated according to environmentally friendly, sustainable criteria. This includes, among other things, a cover crop with various plants in order to promote the balance in the ecosystem with micro-organisms. The physiologically ripe grapes are selectively harvested by hand in several passes. Depending on the type of wine, the grapes are lightly crushed and left to stand in their own juice for a few hours. Some musts are fermented spontaneously with the vineyard's own yeasts. Vinification is carried out according to non-invasive principles with as little intervention as possible in the cellar. The quality pyramid is divided into three lines: basic (Bonus), site wines (Melior) and top wines (Optimus). The winery is a member of the Generation Riesling winegrowers' association.
