The winery is located in the municipality of Bad Dürkheim (Mittelhaardt-Deutsche Weinstraße area) in the German wine-growing region of Pfalz. The traditional family business was founded in 1777 by Philipp Bart and is now run by Ruth and Rolf Bart, already the sixth generation. The vineyards cover ten hectares of vineyards in the single vineyards Fuchsmantel, Hochbenn, Hochmess, Michelsberg and Spielberg (Dürkheim), Herrenberg and Nußriegel (Ungstein), as well as Mandelgarten (Wachenheim). They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling (4.5 ha), Gewürztraminer, Scheurebe, Pinot Blanc Kerner, Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau, Chardonnay and Huxelrebe, as well as with the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, Black Riesling, Portugieser, St. Laurent and Dunkelfelder. In years with suitable weather conditions, Trockenbeerenauslese and ice wines are also pressed. Bottle-fermented sparkling wines and marc brandy are also produced.
