The "weingut gebeshuber" is located in the municipality of Gumpoldskirchen in the wine-growing region of Thermenregion (Lower Austria). The winery is located in the traditional Lueger Cellar, which was built by the Viennese mayor Dr. Karl Lueger (1844-1910) in 1905. At that time it served as a dependence of the Vienna Town Hall Cellar and was later the centre of the former WG Gumpoldskirchen. Today, the building also houses a wine museum, and the large wooden barrel cellar is used for wine-related presentations and tastings. The winery is run by Johannes Gebeshuber. The estate's own vineyards cover 20 hectares. Grapes are purchased from another 20 hectares of vineyards according to strict quality criteria. The grapes come from the vineyards Gendl, Glas, Laim, Modler, Satzing, Viereck and Wiege. The white wine varieties Rotgipfler (locally Spätrot) and Zierfandler, as well as the red wine varieties Pinot Noir and St. Laurent are cultivated. The vineyards are cultivated according to the certified rules of organic viticulture. The selective grape harvest is done exclusively by hand.
