The wine trading company "Maurice Gay SA" is located in the municipality of Chamoson in the Swiss canton of Valais. It was founded in 1883 by the winegrower and merchant Jean Gay. Since 1968 it has been part of the Obrist company (canton of Vaud) and thus belongs to the Schenk Group. At the heart of the company are the Champmarais, Châtroz, Corbassières, Molignon, Ravanay and Uvrier estates. These vineyards cover 20 hectares of vineyards, all of which are situated on terraced slopes in central Valais. Grapes are purchased from more than 400 permanently controlled contract winegrowers, the annual quantity is around 1.5 million kilograms. The flagship of the house is the Fendant "Les Mazots" (Chasselas). A wide range of wines is produced from different varieties. These are for example Dôle(Pinot Noir and Gamay), Dôle Blanche (white pressed), Oeil de perdrix (rosé from Pinot Noir), Pinot Noir, Humagne Rouge(Cornalin) and Syrah, as well as Johannisberg(Silvaner), Chardonnay, Amigne, Petite Arvine(Arvine) and Muscat Blanc.
