DOC area for red wines, rosé wines and white wines in the Italian region of Lombardy. The zone includes the six municipalities of Castaglione delle Stiviere, Cavriana, Monzambano, Ponti sul Mincio, Solferino and Volta Mantovana in the province of Mantova in the north of Lake Garda. If the grapes come from classified vineyards, Vigna can be indicated followed by the name of the vineyard. The vineyards cover 17 hectares of vines.

Types of wine

The single-varietal wines must contain at least 85% of the respective variety; other varieties are permitted up to a maximum of 15%. The red wines are Cabernet (Cabernet Franc and/or Cabernet Sauvignon) and Merlot. The white wines are Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco (Pinot Blanc), Pinot Grigio (Pinot Gris) and Sauvignon (Sauvignon Blanc).
