Galestro

Light and fresh Toscana-IGT white wine, whose name is derived from the famous soil type in the Chianti area in the Italian region of Tuscany. It is made from the main variety Trebbiano Toscano (60-85%), as well as Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco(Pinot Blanc), Riesling and Vernaccia di San Gimignano. The production is carried out by members of a consortium founded in the early 1980s, including the major wineries Antinori, Frescobaldi and Ricasoli. The wine produced in large quantities became a great success (especially in Germany). It is now one of the most popular Italian white wines.
