The winery "Horst & Irene Pelzmann" is located in the municipality of Berg in the foothills of the Hundsheimer Berge. near the town of Hainburg in the Lower Austrian wine region of Carnuntum. The traditional family has been growing wine since 1850. Herbert Pelzmann laid the foundation stone for the present winery. His son Horst took over the business in 1993 and continues it today using modern cellar technology. A Buschenschank is connected.

The vineyards comprise 15 hectares of vines on the slopes of the Königswarte and the Spitzerberg. They are planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling,Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Sylvaner and Müller-Thurgau as well as the red wine varieties Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch and Cabernet Sauvignon. The prerequisites for quality are appropriate pruning, leaf care and yield reduction. Through selective manual harvesting, only physiologically ripe and healthy grapes are processed

The white wines are generally aged fresh and fruity in stainless steel tanks. The red wines mature in large wooden barrels or in barriques. The premium wines include Holzweingarten Reserve Grüner Veltliner, Pinot Blanc Reserve, REGIS Cuvée (Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt, CS) and Spitzerberg Blaufränkisch. In years with suitable weather conditions also ice wines are pressed. The winery is a member of the associations Römerweinstraße Carnuntum, Rubin Carnuntum Weingüter and Traditionsweingüter Österreich.
