The traditional winery is located in the municipality of Verrenberg, a suburb of Öhringen (Württembergisch Unterland) in the German wine-growing region of Württemberg. The princes of Hohenlohe have owned vineyards here since 1360. The vineyard as well as the VDP-classified Grosse Lage Verrenberg is owned by Prince Kraft zu Hohenlohe-Oehringen. Joachim Brand is responsible as administrator and cellar master. The vineyards cover more than 18 hectares of vineyards, which are mainly planted with the white wine varieties Riesling,Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, as well as the red wine varieties Lemberger (Blaufränkisch),Pinot Noir, PinotMeunier, Samtrot, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Since the 2008 vintage, the vineyard has been cultivated in accordance with the guidelines of organic viticulture. Only organic wines are produced.
