The winery is located in the municipality of Bad Friedrichshall (Württembergisch Unterland area) in the German wine-growing region of Württemberg. The formerly purely agricultural business was established with the construction of a building for its own wine production in 1993. A wine tavern is attached. The farm is owned by Andreas Friedauer. The vineyards comprise eight hectares of vines in the single vineyard Scheuerberg (Neckarsulm), as well as parcels recultivated in 1992 in the municipality of Kochendorf in the former single vineyard Fundelweinberg. They are planted with the red wine varieties Lemberger, Trollinger, Pinot Noir, Black Riesling, Regent, Samtrot and Dornfelder as well as with the white wine varieties Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Muscat and Müller-Thurgau. Natural, environmentally friendly viticulture is practised with the promotion of beneficial insects and airy stock management. The wines are vinified gently, combining modern technology with old traditions. Filtration and unnecessary pumping are avoided as much as possible with the aim of producing aroma-rich wines. The premium wines are produced under the two names Neckarsulmer Scheuerberg and Kochendorf from areas of the steep terraces with a greatly reduced yield of 40 to 50 kg/ha.
