Designation (also drip wine) for a wine obtained from the free-run free-run must without a mechanical pressing process. As a rule, however, the free-run must does not produce wine qualities that are rich in extract and body, as it contains fewer aromatic substances and tannins. Mostly, fresh and light wines or sparkling wines are produced from it. For quality wines, the free-run must is therefore fermented together with the pressed must. See also under winemaking.
