The winery is located in the municipality of Bremm (Terrassenmosel area) in the German wine-growing region of Mosel. After the tragic accident of Ulrich Franzen (+2010), the traditional winery is continued by his son Kilian Franzen with girlfriend Angelina Lenz. The team also includes viticultural technician Benedikt Lenz. The vineyards, most of which are extremely steep, cover over nine hectares of vineyards in the single vineyard sites of Calmont (Bremm) and Frauenberg (Neef). They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling (almost 90%), Pinot Blanc, Elbling and Chardonnay. In 2002, a further 1.5 hectares of fallow vineyards were reactivated in one of the vineyard hollows called "Kaul" and planted with Riesling. The vineyards are cultivated with due regard for ecological aspects. In the vinification process, an attempt is made to combine traditional experience with the most modern oenological and ecological knowledge. Since 1980, primarily dry, fully fermented wines have been produced.
