The winery is located in the municipality of Bremm (Burg Cochem area) in the German wine-growing region of Mosel. It has been run by Michael and Doris Franzen since 1995. Since 2003, the Franzen family has also run a wine tavern at the Brenner Gipfelkreuz. The vineyards cover 1.5 hectares in the Calmont (Bremm) and Frauenberg (Neef) vineyards. They are planted with Riesling, Müller-Thurgau and Pinot Blanc. The vines are grown close to nature. Quality criteria are strict yield limitation through reduced pruning, targeted care of the vineyards during the vegetation period and exclusively organic fertilisation. Vinification is carried out through gentle pressing, careful pre-clarification of the musts, controlled fermentation (cooling if necessary), reductive ageing of the young wines and subsequent stainless steel storage on the fine le es. Noble sweet Beerenauslese and Trockenbeerenauslese wines are also produced.
