Single vineyard site in the two municipalities of Bad Dürkheim and Wachenheim (area Mittelhaardt-Deutsche Weinstrasse) in the German wine-growing region Palatinate. The Bad Dürkheim part with the observation tower "Kaffemühlchen", built in 1854, is located in the upper area, the Wachenheim part, which is located in the depth, forms the "Schleppe", so to speak, of the mantle. The south- to south-east-facing vineyards with a slope gradient of 5 to 15% comprise 29 hectares of vineyard area. The calcareous clay soils are characterised by more sand in the upper area. The two main varieties cultivated here are Riesling and Silvaner. The producers Castel Peter, Fitz-Ritter, Gebrüder Bart, Schaefer Karl, members of Wachtenburg Winzer, Wegner Joachim and Zimmermann Emil have shares in the site.
