Forta

The white grape variety (also Geilweilerhof 31-15-100) is a new breed between (Madeleine Angevine x Silvaner) x White Riesling. This parentage was only established through DNA analyses conducted in 2012. Because in the breeding list it was erroneously stated as “(Madeleine Angevine x Grüner Silvaner) F2“ (F2 means open pollinated). The crossing took place in Germany by the breeders Peter Morio Peter (1887-1960) and Bernhard Husfeld Bernhard (1900-1970) at Geilweilerhof in Siebeldingen-Pfalz. In 2016, no stocks were reported (Kym Anderson Kym).
