Famous single vineyard in the municipality of Forst in the Mittelhaardt area, Großlage Mariengarten in the German wine-growing region of Pfalz. The German Chancellor Prince Otto von Bismarck (1815-1898), after drinking a Riesling from this vineyard of the Reichsrat von Buhl winery, said: "This monster tastes monstrous to me". This made the vineyard world-famous. Incidentally, on the occasion of his 68th birthday, Bismarck was also given a bottle of the legendary 1811 from this vineyard by the Bassermann-Jordan winery.
