Various manufacturers offer aroma sets (aroma cases) with the typical odours of a wine. By practising, you can learn the ability to specifically identify the individual aromas of wine and other alcoholic beverages. The prerequisite is that you practise this intensively and consciously store the individual odours in your olfactory memory.
One of the best-known products is "Le Nez du Vin" (The Nose of Wine), which was developed by the well-known sommelier trainer Jean Lenoir. It contains the flavours of the great French and international red and white wines. There is a white wine set (12 aromas), a red wine set (12 aromas), a faulty aroma set (with the 12 most well-known wine faults) and a comprehensive combination set (54 aromas). Each flavour is described in detail.
