Flavis

The white grape variety is a new variety between Verdiso x Riesling Italico (Welschriesling). Synonymous with Cosmo 76 and Incrocio Cosmo 76, it was crossed in Italy in 1976 by the breeder Italo Cosmo at the Institute in Conegliano (Veneto). With the same parents the new breed Italica was created. The medium to late ripening vine is resistant to grape rot. It is cultivated in the province of Treviso in the Italian region of Veneto. In 2016, three hectares of vineyards were designated (Kym Anderson statistics).
