PFV - Primum Familiae Vini Abbreviation for "Primum Familiae Vini", a select circle of family wineries. The idea was born in 1990 by two wine legends, Miguel Torres (*1941) and Robert Drouhin, and was founded in 1993. The international association of "First families of wine" is limited to a maximum of 12 members. Each family owns vineyards, is one of the most prestigious wine producers in its region and produces wines of international renown. Every year a different member takes over the chairmanship.
