finely acidic

Description for the taste of a wine in the context of a wine evaluation or wine address. Such a wine is characterised by a rich, well-balanced amount of acidity with a fine play of acid ity. Related positive terms depending on the acidity are lively, nervy, racy, resch, rezent, säurebetont, spritzig and steely. Negative terms for too high acidity are described as aggressive, acetic, edgy, sour or sharp, which can indicate a possible wine defect, such as acetic souring. See also under sour wine.
