fine

Description (French: fin) in the context of a wine evaluation or wine address, used to describe a high-quality, differentiated and harmonious wine. It is characterised by a delicate, clear and precisely balanced style. Despite complexity and inner tension, a certain lightness with long-lasting aromatic nuances is retained. Such wines are characterised by a clear structure in which acidity, alcohol, extract and aromas complement each other harmoniously. The body is not overpowering, but appropriately proportioned, while the texture(mouthfeel) is perceived as smooth, silky or delicate. Related or often additionally used complementary terms are balanced, delicate, elegant, filigree and slender.
