French liquid measure or barrel type with regionally varying volumes, which was also used in Switzerland. The sizes are indicated among others with 114, 132, 134 and 136 l. In the past it was traditionally used for the Chablis, but then largely replaced by the Pièce (with 228 l), which is now common in Burgundy. See also under Barrel types and wine vessels.
