The white grape variety is an interspecific new cross between Chasselas Doré x Isabella. The hybrid was crossed in Great Britain, where it is mainly used for grape production in glasshouses. Synonyms are Pineapple, Ananaskii, Ananasnii, Beregovskii, Ferdinand de Lesseps Bijeli, Ferdinand Lesseps, Honey Grape, Muscat Ferdinand Lesseps and Pineapple Grape. The name was given in honour of the builder of the Suez Canal, Ferdinand Vicomte de Lesseps (1805-1894). The vine is resistant to both types of powdery mildew; the berries have a foxtone. It is used as table grape and as an ornamental vine. The variety was a crossing partner of the two new varieties Golden Queen and Primus.
