Fechsung

Old term (also fanning) used in Austria and Germany for the harvest or autumn, in viticulture this was understood to mean the grape harvest. The word "fanning" (also fächsen or fexen) means harvesting, in a broader sense also "building" (cultivating) or "bringing forth by working the soil".
