The white grape variety is a new cross between Chasselas x Queen of the Vineyards. Synonyms or breeding numbers are 514-42, KM.3 and Mathiasztelep 3. The cross was made in 1950 in Hungary by the breeders Sandor Szegeti, Janos Eroes and Ernoe Damay. It is used as a winepress and table grape. The variety is cultivated in Moldova (2.5 ha) and in Hungary (0.5 ha). In 2016, 3 hectares of vines were declared (Kym Anderson statistics).

In the past, you needed a wealth of encyclopaedias and specialist literature to keep up to date in your vinophile professional life. Today, Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one of my best helpers and can rightly be called the "bible of wine knowledge".
