The winery is located in the municipality of Torrecuso (province of Benevento) in the Italian region of Campania. The more than 100 year old family business is now managed by Paolo Cotroneo. Vincenzo Mercurio is responsible as cellar master, Giuseppe Tribuno as oenologist. The modern restored wine cellar dates back to the end of the 18th century. The vineyards cover 29 hectares of vineyards on calcareous and clayey volcanic soils. They are planted with the red wine varieties Aglianico, Greco Nero and Piedirosso, and with the white wine varieties Coda di Volpe Bianca, Falanghina, Fiano and Greco Bianco. Since 1998 the vineyard and cellar have been working according to the guidelines of organic farming with ICEA certification. In the vinification process, great importance is attached to the typicality of the variety and the vineyard. The DOC/DOCG wines Sannio and Aglianico del Taburno, as well as various IGT wines are produced. The flagship is the DOCG wine "Terra di Rivolta" Aglianico del Taburno Riserva (18 months barrique, 18 months bottle). About 150,000 bottles of wine are produced annually, 30% of which are exported, including overseas to the USA, Canada and Japan.
