The winery is located in the municipality of Eibesthal near Mistelbach in the north-east of the Weinviertel (Lower Austria). After training as a master vintner and cellarer, the winery has been run by career changer Maria Faber-Köchl since 1998. Daughter Anna Faber is responsible as oenologist. In 2009, a new cellar was put into operation. The vineyards are located in the Saazen, Pannau, Heid, Steinhübel and Sauberg vineyards in a kind of basin location. They comprise ten hectares of vineyards planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner (40%), Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Roter Traminer, and the red wine varieties Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch, Merlot and Pinot Noir. Certified organic viticulture is practised. This includes, among other things, cover crop, the application of compost and the complete renunciation of artificial fertilisers, herbicides and insecticides.

Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
