Faber-Köchl

The winery is located in the municipality of Eibesthal near Mistelbach in the northeast of the Weinviertel (Lower Austria). After training as a master winemaker and cellarer, the winery has been run by lateral entrant Maria Faber-Köchl since 1998. Daughter Anna Faber is responsible as oenologist. In 2009 a new cellar was put into operation. The vineyards are located in the Saazen, Pannau, Heid, Steinhübel and Sauberg vineyards in a kind of basin location. They cover ten hectares of vineyards, which are planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner (40%), Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Roter Traminer, as well as with the red wine varieties Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch Merlot and Pinot Noir. Certified organic viticulture is practiced.
