There are two grape varieties with this name:
The white grape variety is an interspecific new breed between (Rupestris x Othello) x Herbemont d’Aurelles (a open-pollinated seedling of Herbemont). Synonyms include Castel 1115, Excelsior Guilly, and Guilly Excelsior. It contains genes from Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rupestris, and Vitis vinifera. The crossing of the hybrid took place in France by the breeder Pierre Castel. It is cultivated in the cantons of St. Gallen, Thurgau, and Zürich. In 2016, a total of 0.3 hectares of vineyard area were reported in Switzerland (Kym Anderson).
