Designation (also consumer wine, drinking wine, pub wine) for a simple but flawless wine without special quality, which is usually intended for quick drinking enjoyment. There are, however, a multitude of other names, none of which have any meaning in terms of wine law. See also under bulk wine and draught wine.

The glossary is a monumental achievement and one of the most important contributions to wine knowledge. Of all the encyclopaedias I use on the subject of wine, it is by far the most important. That was the case ten years ago and it hasn't changed since.
