The winery is located in the municipality of Volkach (Maindreieck area) in the German wine growing region of Franconia. When Walter and Sabine Erhard took over their parents' estate in 1990, they restructured the mixed agricultural operation into a self-marketing winery. A guest house is attached. The vineyards cover 7.5 hectares of vineyards in the locations Landsknecht (Obervolkach), Kiliansberg (Großlangheim), Ratsherr (Volkach), as well as Lump (Escherndorf). They are planted with the white wine varieties Silvaner (30%), Müller-Thurgau (30%), Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Kerner, Scheurebe and Bacchus, and the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, Domina, Regent and Black Riesling. Wine-growing is practised consistently close to nature and environmentally friendly. The product range also includes grape juices, sparkling wines, bottle-fermented sparkling wines and fine spirits (marc, mirabelle, plum). The winery is a member of the two winegrowers' associations Frank & Frei and Vinissima.
