Producer description of "Weingut Familie Erbeldinger"

The Kurt Erbeldinger & Sohn winery is located in the municipality of Bechtheim-West (Wonnegau area) in the German wine-growing region of . The foundation stone was laid by Kurt and Gertrud Erbeldinger, who bottled their first wines in 1960 and converted their former mixed farm of agriculture, fruit growing and viticulture to the bottled marketing of wine. Since 2001, the estate has been run by his son Stefan and his son Christoph, who is responsible for the vineyards. The vineyards cover 30 hectares of vineyards in the single vineyards , , Heiligkreuz and Pilgerpfad (Bechtheim), (Westhofen), and Mandelbrunnen (Gundheim). They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling (20%), Pinot Blanc (15%), Müller-Thurgau, Grüner Silvaner, Chardonnay, Scheurebe and Gewürztraminer, as well as with the red wine varieties Pinot Noir (15%) Portugieser, Dornfelder and St. Laurent.
