Eichert

single vineyard in the municipality of Jechtingen (Kaiserstuhl area) in the German wine-growing region of Baden. The vineyards, which are mainly south-southwest-facing on the slope and west-facing in the flatter areas, are between 180 and 260 metres above sea level with a slope gradient of 5 to 30% and cover 53 hectares of vineyards. A wave in the course creates a slight hollow. The soils consist of reddish, weathered volcanic rock. Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris are the main grapes cultivated here. The Bercher, Helde and Winzergenossenschaft Jechtingen wineries, for example, have shares in the site.
