The winery is located in the municipality of Mautern in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region of Wachau. A guesthouse is attached. The winery is managed by Andreas Eder. The vineyards cover a total of 13 hectares of vineyards in the Raubern, Silberbichl and Süssenberg vineyards on the south bank of the Danube. They are planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Roter Traminer, Sauvignon Blanc and Muskat-Ottonel. The vineyards are cultivated in a near-natural way with extensive care and no insecticides. The selective hand harvest takes place in at least two or often more rounds in each plot and lasts up to eight weeks into November. Only fully ripe and healthy grapes are processed.
Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
