Single location in the municipality of Alsheim (Nierstein area) in the German Rheinhessen growing region. The vineyards, which face south to east and have a slope inclination of 10 to 25%, comprise 205 hectares of vineyards. The soils consist of loess, loam and sandy to clayey loam with limestone in the subsoil. The main varieties cultivated here are Riesling, Silvaner,Pinot Gris, Traminer and Frühburgunder. The Groh Heinrich and Rappenhof wineries, for example, have a share in the site.
