single vineyard in the municipality of Alsheim (Nierstein area) in the German wine-growing region of Rheinhessen. The south to east facing vineyards with a slope of 10 to 25% cover 205 hectares of vineyards. The soils consist of loess, sloping loam and sandy to clayey loam with limestone partly in the subsoil. The main varieties cultivated here are Riesling, Silvaner, Pinot Gris, Traminer and Frühburgunder. The Groh Heinrich and Rappenhof wineries, for example, have shares in the site.
