Early Leipzigers

Synonym (also Leipziger Früh) for the grape variety Luglienga Bianca; see there.

The white grape variety probably originates from Italy. The name is derived from "Luglio" (Italian for July) and indicates the early ripening from the end of July. The 160 or so synonyms attest to its great age and formerly wide distribution in Europe.
