Dunav

The red grape variety (also Dounav) is a new cross between (Bikan x Ribi Mehour) x Cardinal. The crossing took place in 1966 in Bulgaria by the private breeders Mincho Kondarev and N. Matevska. The vine is mainly used as table grape, but also as wine grape. In 2016, 11 hectares of vineyard were designated in Moldova (Kym Anderson).
