Dragon Blue

The red grape variety (also Dragon Bleu) is an interspecific new variety; however, the parentage is unknown. It probably contains genes from Vitis labrusca and Vitis vinifera. The hybrid was crossed in Quebec-Canada by the private breeder Mario Cliche. The high-yielding vine produces red wines with a foxy. It is grown in small quantities in eastern Canada. However, no stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).

There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
